“The Englishman With A Caribbean Twist”.

Originating from the UK where he started his musical career in the 90’s.

DJ Purist divides his time between the Caribbean island of Antigua and Bristol.

Through his travels he has built up an extensive knowledge and intuitive understanding of the many genres of music needed to rock a party on both sides of the Atlantic.

He has shared the stage with international DJ’s such as Jamaica’s Renaissance man DJ Delano, Dubai’s Crown Prince and St Maarten’s DJ Outkast amongst others.

He has performed alongside international acts Steel Pulse, Blaxx and Ed Robinson and DJ’d for Faith Evans at her official after party when she was in Antigua.

DJ Purist has had a varied and interesting music career to date.

An owner of his own nationwide record and cd Distribution Company.

National wholesale manager for the UK’s leading Urban Record Store 2Funky Records.

Radio presenter and DJ tutor at colleges, schools and other youth institutions.

He has also worked with Miami based teaching organization P.A.T.H to help adapt and teach the four elements Hip Hop to school children in Antigua.

Stylistically and creatively his mixes are always precise, clean and fluid. They flow with an energy, style and structure borne from an innate understanding and a life long love of music.

Displaying elements of turntablism to genres of music not traditionally associated with it such as soca and dancehall.

DJ Purist brings a level of excitement and energy every time he plays.

Regularly releasing his unique brand of remixes together with regular mix tapes and his trademark mini mixes.

DJ Purist continues to push both the art form and his music around the caribbean and beyond.
